Change the Climate Timberland International Sales Conference, Company Headquarters, Stratham, NH 2007
This installation consists of 16 letters that spell out “Change the Climate” made from trash found in the community – non-recycled trash found in dumpsters. Each letter consists of a specific type of waste, such as discarded CD’s, aluminum cans, plastic bottles, junk mail catalogs, electronics, children’s toys, fast food containers, plastic shopping bags. This project revealed the vast amount of discarded material that makes its way into the traditional waste stream that could be reused or, at a minimum, recycled. This public installation coincided with an international meeting and a corporate campaign to inspire employee consideration of their personal and business environmental impacts.
